We use VeriSign as our SSL digital certificate provider, allowing our users the strongest certificate services around. All sensitive information you enter during the payment process, including credit card information, is encrypted while traveling through the Internet.
NOTE: E-mail is not secure and this process does not apply to any information exchanged with Illinois Funds or your local unit of government through e-mail. Please remember, your e-mail correspondence should never include sensitive information you would not like to share with the general public, as e-mail is never a secure environment on the Internet.
Per the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50 of fraudulent charges. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card number, you must notify your credit provider in accordance to the reporting rules and procedures listed in your account agreement.
